Kennedy Town Post St Patrick's Day run Hare - Hopeless Hashers - Slut Entrails, Comes Up the Rear, Kim KardaXXXian, Gobi Lo, Lost in Translation, Sticky Sex Toy, Octopussy, Pole Dancer, Indyanus, Foot Fetish, Lubricated Mud, Screwtop, Hopeless, Freebie, Pipe Rider, Any Fanny'll Do, Macau Drunk Write-up - Screwtop St Patrick’s day run by Hopeless in honor of Sir Arthur Kennedy who served as Governor of Hong Kong, dying on this day in 1877 A to A at Kennedy Town Forbes St Playground We were assured the run was not the same as the previous week’s, which was true apart from the start location. Knowing Hopeless likes his phrase ‘it should be so everyone will be back within an hour’, I did a little extra before the run to stretch my legs along Forbes Street to the waterfront, coming back through Belcher Bay Park thinking I’d see some trail on my way but I only saw it at the end coming back in. This didn’t help me as I still went wrong! We headed out at the back of the playground with Pole Dancer wondering why Macau Drunk was walking from the start. Very sensible, he got let others do the first check (I went left and was wrong) and saw him mark off the check when it was called. Surprisingly we continued up Smithfield Road not right up the steps with LIT in the lead (who said she was going to take it easy, ummm). Also, Freebie said she wasn’t going to run and I caught up to her doing just that. You really can’t trust a hasher! Rachelle and I headed right up Pok Fu Lam road and then crossed over to go up trail. We went to Lung Fu Shan and along the Xylophone path. Pole dancer went straight on at a check, and I got it wrong again by going right but enjoyed running for a little bit along the stream before heading back down, following the pack. Lovely to stretch the legs on the flat contour to a back check. Pole dancer yet again, didn’t see this and ran straight through it reporting he ended up in Sai Ying Pun. We popped out on Pok Fu Lam Road again to Pole Dancer’s call so was able to do a little short cut (oops, yup, but only a few meters) and bombed it across the road. Running down the steps to where I saw trail earlier and turning left to the MTR. I obviously had my blinkers on as I just ran through the MTR but should have found an arrow to the left. Quite happy with my decision as it wasn’t too busy and was nice and cool in there. Elevation was surprising at 464 m and I think everyone was back within an hour. Good bash and food ordering from Feebie with KKK making sure he got some food on the first round so not needing to order more for him. Highlight of the bash was obviously Hopeless’s Tom Jones dance impression. Thank you, Indi, for bringing Bailey’s which we all enjoyed. Down Downs by Indy… Welcome to the 🍀Irish 🇮🇪 Paddy’s Day run.. Irish antics on the run - Octo / LIT / PD Hopeless - presented with an Irish key ring by Indy… bought at the Temple Bar in Dublin..
