A bumper turn out to celebrate 45 years of LSWH3 and where better to start than the original start point, Siu Sai Wan which looks completely different to it did 45 years ago, as do many of us hashers. It's tradition that Hopeless sets an LSWH3 anniversary run, normally with an ex-wife, ex or current girlfriend, so watch out Octopussy, you may be in the running to be the next one.
With the hashers eager to get going, Octopussy gives the briefing of 2 splits, OPEN head arrows, closed checks & check backs & everyone should be back within the hour.... famous last words!
Cute Butt Boar, Mango Groove & Pole Dancer led the pack up the rocks & shiggy to the steps up to Dragons Leap. A long slog up only to come across the first CB where LIT found the OnOn down the dirt shiggy path allowing AFWD & his merry band of virgins to also front run but not before CUTR pushes past to get in front only to stumble across another CB. Back we go & up the shiggy path to the left & onto the terracing & the long metal set of steps up to Cape Collinson Road. Pole Dancer way out in front picks up yet another CB & again LIT finds the trail up the rocks, onto a overgrown shiggy path to the catchwater & the W/R first split. Rambo trail took us right along the catchwater at the top of Chai Wan Cemetery where Cute Butt Boar announces to LIT & Liberace "I just love cemeteries" & with that, Liberace was so spooked out, he took off & never to be seen again!! After the long set of steps up from the cemetery, to a check, the trail took us left, all the way along the top of Big Wave Bay then left up the steps into a short shiggy path then down the steps to the rejoin. Now never underestimate the stupidity of hashers.. or hares for that matter. The sneaky hares pointed us round a wee house, to a check back where a few hashers kept going round & round the wee house (you know who you are!!) Off the CB, down the steps & back onto Dragon's Leap for a great downhill run to the next W/R split, where a very happy Prince of Darkness with a can of Tsing Tao was merrily meandering up the hill & an injured Mr Happy Slippers was on his way back down. R2 went into the shiggy but for some reason (unbeknown to the scribe, as W2 was more preferable) the hashers ended up at a washing machine?? & going back on themselves following RS2H3 markings - it sounded very confusing & we couldn't even blame Liberace for misleading the pack this time. The Hares announced 1hour run... however.... Only Screwtop (injured & walking) PD, CUTR (who missed the second split) LIT & Cute Butt Boar were back within the stated hour - where was everyone else - in the shiggy washing their clothes?? Even the newbies were worried they were over the hour. An very nervous Octopussy kept checking her watch while her relaxed, experienced hare was busy on the Carlsberg, but she need not have worried as the hashers started trickling in with no complaints on this enjoyable run. Big thanks to our hares for a most enjoyable hash, a really varied trail with checks & CB's keeping the pack together.

Hence the name Little Sai Wan and the kangaroo and the lion on the LSWH³ logo.’..
