Kennedy Town Thanksgiving Run š¦ Hare - Octopussy Hashers - Dame Invader, Duty Free, Discover Her Bay, Lost In Space, Sticky Sex Toy, Octopussy, Pole Dancer, Indyanus, Lubricated Mud, Screwtop, Hopeless, Freebee, Mr Lubricated Mud, Wai Chee Kok, Cute Boar Butt, Warm Hole Write-up - Lost in Planet Hopeless told me I came back into town at a good time as the hareline was full through the end of the year. I knew better expecting that tap on the shoulder to come at any moment. Nice to see Discover Her Bay joining us after a long absence. Also nice to see my Orange Line friend CBB. A Kennedy Town hash Pretty much means Mt. Davis so lets get to it. Up the usual roads to the usual check, to the play ground and then up the shiggy. Indy made no attempt to hide in the bushes this time taking down-down notes as we hashed passed her. Shiggy up to the top, and then past the WW II relics and road down to R/W split two. R takes the shiggy path down and W stays on the road. At the rejoin Hopeless was nice enough to make sure I didnāt kill myself on the last drop just before the rejoin. At the rejoin we met up with Sticky Sex Toy and - with apologies for not getting the name correctly - Sexy Angry Dragon. In one of those āDohā moments SST asked Hopeless if this was the 2nd split. Hopeless pointed out the ā2ā and sarcasticly said yes. So to Mt. Davis Road and having my own Hopeless moment I blow through a check and confidently āknowā that the trail goes to the right and Mt. Davis Road back to A. So I follow the road and nothing, nothing nothingā¦ā¦. Arghhhh back to the intersection where Discover Her Bay is also scratching her head. So back to the last on-on and then find a faded leaf covered check with a faint arrow in the correct direction. I should have known that Octo was too good of a hare to boringly just have us take Mt Davis Rd back to A. One more especially clever check had us briefly going in the wrong direction until reaching the Shell station on Pok Fu Lam Road. Big left turn had us heading down Pok Fu Lam Rd followed by a left turn on Pokfield Road. And then the biggest dissapointment of the evening, Discover Her Bay and I miss a check-back and instead of properly investigating just go back to A - my idea. Turns out the best part of the run was to check-back to Octoās most favourite stair case and take it down to A. CBB went back after she finished and made a point of doing the staircase. I regrettably did notā¦.. The tap on the shoulder comes and yours truly will be your hare for this week. Gary Glitter Park in Tung Chung with promises that this year the hill so āhigh high highā will not be nearly as āhigh high highā as last years hill. See you there!!! Octo - so appropriate to set this Thanksgiving run (at short notice!) after her previous 6 weeksā¦ having spent time in air raid shelters in Israel, so thankful for those then! (and on trail...), thankful for water when her flatās water pipes burst, thankful for the many many stairs when her lift broke, thankful for kind neighbourly people / hashers aroundā¦ Comes Up the Rear - had assisted in laying trailā¦. cheers! CUTR - spoiler alert - had put pics of run up on LSW WhatsApp groupā¦ āDanger - Radiation!āā¦ something to be thankful for? Indy - to self... had started from A earlier but ended up having to do checking on her own at first checkā¦ so far far far!!! Wai Chee - also got caught at checking, by going the wrong way across the road and up the road so far far far... !!! Dame Invader - first at top of many long long steps, then went checking across the path and up more steps so high high high toā¦ no markings... down he went... so ended up way back of packā¦ Pole Dancer - at same check behind DI went left and down the roadā¦ so also way at backā¦ Cute Boar Butt / Hopeless - finding correct trail through fence / hareā¦ Lubricated Mud - late starting with hubby and caught up with yours truly on the steep shiggy rocky uphill sectionā¦ āthankfullyā for yours truly... LM - her hubby joined in the run this week as so long out in shiggy / mountain at CBBās run (till 11 pm!) that he was worried about herā¦ Awwwā¦ Octo - writing an epic run report after CBBās epic memorable āfunā run!! Returnee - Lost In Spaceā¦ ah ah!! Really great to have you back at LSW again... are you around for next weekās run?... šš Sexy Kong Long - long long time no see !! Fab you could join - she was āthankfulā to be at run and really enjoyed it!! Dame Invader - he named Sexy Kong Longā¦ after all she is his wife!!!ā¦. (But sometimes she is Sexy Angry Dragon says he )..!! š) LM - married to hubby for 18 years !! Hubby had said he was a teenager when they got married!!š DI - said he had been married for over 18 years but to 3 different women!! š¤£šš Wai Chee - finished run in 50 mins!! Said it was too short as did not go up High West!! š¤©š Wai Chee - managed to get hit by a branch though... pinged back by DI! DI - actually followed trailā¦ for a change! Duty Free - thatās 2 runs in a row!! Brilliant !! Hoping for some more delish carrot cake š° this week?? Octo statistics ?
