Sai Ying Pun Rose Lane Children's playground Hare - Wai Chee Kok Hashers - Alexander, Dame Invader, Andy, Minja Turtle, Kim KardaXXXian, Octopussy, Indyanus, Lubricated Mud, Hopeless, Freebee, Wai Chee Kok, Cute Boar Butt Write-up - Cute Boar Butt When my dog Pepper and I arrived at A there was no one other than one Wolverine aka Hopeless sitting in the dark in silence, though, we (my dog and I) thought that was completely normal so we joined the silence as we were told to patiently wait for the hare to finish marking trail. A few other hashers namely Freebie, Octo and no-name Alex showed up shortly before the hare arrived, the pack immediately was briefed - wimps/rambo options, around 8km for wimps and 9.5 for rambos. "See you in two hours" said by hare Wai Chee Kok with a smirk but also gently offered a short cut option to those who were not spiked, then off the fast runners, us who were determined to prove our hare wrong. With the first two checks being revealed during the brief due to the pack was leaning towards the smaller sized, we followed trail that led us into Hong Kong University and then up the steps towards Lung Fu Shan. Thanks to the FRBs Alex, Dame Invader and Octo, Pepper the Dog and I had no problem catching up as checks were being solved. There were a few interesting markings when OnOn were written but trail was definitely not onward but the other way; Minja Turtle was nowhere near, but I could already imagine myself telling him to shut up before he went on and on about female hares. Amazingly FRBs were able to figure true trail out and to cross those OnOn off for us, so the rest of the trail was all just a nice long run for Pepper and I. Knowing Wai Chee and her amazing physique, the runs she sets usually are never just long long long but also high high high - it was a wise decision to not take the Rambo and to bring my 10 year-old dog up to High West especially having found out later that the total elevation for those who did rambo was around 630m gain. The girls gladly wimped along Pik Shan Road while Pepper was a bit timid but very well behaved, carefully following and later on running into non-short cutters FRBs shortly after the rejoin. Pepper took a quick dump right before Kotewall Road entrance then off we went the two happy girls running hand in hand back to A. Down Down’s by Indy The hare - Wai Chee Kok… what a hash!! interesting runs for all!!! Not enough elevation at 630’!! Not enough ON ON’s…… great fun! WCK - taking Rambos up High West 🔝 !! Not been up there for a while !! Octo - with DD’s being in the park... said ‘after runs I don’t usually need to sit down, but after HW I think I would like to…’😂 WCK - given an education after run from Hopeless about LSW markings😀… and when / where to place checks with ON ON’s…🔛🔛. Lubricated Mud / Freebee - chatting so much on trail that went off markings! LM - ‘I really enjoyed it‘... 😁 Rambo runners - Octo / Alex / Dame Invader / KKxxx / Minja… Cute Boar Butt - (in bash absentia)… did not do High West or bash as had her gorgeous pup with her... ! Alex / DI - Alex back in and checking where DI was? as both racing in at end together…. but where was DI? Dame Invader - late to run start but played catch up with Alex and co… 🏃♀️ WCK - started setting at 2.30 pm… setting Wimps and up / over HIgh West on her own took a while longer than expected !! Octo to Indy - Indy meeting Andy at start and still not recognising him as the ‘Andy’... not Indy’…. That’s an LIT pronunciation thingy….😂 WCK stats… WCK - thanks for a fab hash and basheteria!!
