Winkie Twinkie assisting as co-hare and attempting with a little success to curb her enthusiasm for a real ball buster of an evening. This lollipop concept has really come into play lately and yours truely Lost in Space has indulged in a lollipop or two myself. But this evening’s lollipop was a whopper. A little over 1km straight up or straight down. It may have set a LSW record. This run featured not one, not two but three climb the hill so high high highs for a total of 432 meters of elevation change. So off we went and the front runners quickly distanced themselves from my fantastic group of myself, Freebee, Foot Fetish and Lubricated Mud. After much huffing and puffing we made it all the way up to Wanchai Gap Park. Hopeless perhaps sensing what was ahead made his own trail, Dame invader turned back citing a dodgy headlamp. Indy may have been in the bushes spying on us. Trail down to Aberdeen Reservoir Road and across the dam to the split. This is where the real fun begins. A really nice LSW style shiggy trail up to the trig point on Bennet’s Hill. Then the best part of any Wednesday evening, standing next to the trig point taking in the view, enjoying the breeze and of course many ridiculous group selfies to post after the run. But now how to get down off this hill. What seems to be the trail has a big X on it. There was something in the briefing about an X and don’t go that way. If only I would pay attention during these briefings. There is another trail but it’s really dark and scary looking. Best solution, the group sends Lubricated Mud down the wrong trail just to see if she finds flour while we stand around and watch. That’s not the way. Okay go past the X and see if you have flour while we stand around and watch. Flour that way and off we go. So thanks Lubricated Mud for being our scout. Shiggy trail down had us all looking for a pair of sunglasses and the promise of a year of free hashing as a reward from the hare but sorry Winkie Twinkee we had no luck. Hong Kong Trail back to Wanchai Gap Park and the lollipop down down down to A. Absolutely brilliant! On on to 369 Shanghai Restaurant. Not sure of the wisdom of having an on on at a place that closes at 4am with Indy in charge of a circle that begins at 11pm. But there we were. Indy prepared a nice cake for the birthday girl and while she wasn’t looking we threw out several pages of her down down notes. Yummy dinner and a 1,000 HKD bottle of Guiness. As per usual a great time had by all and so a big thanks and gratitude to the hares. On On to the down down notes….. and I was just kidding about the part where we threw out your notes Down-downs by Indy The hare / s - Pipe Rider the birthday girl as lead hare, ably assisted by Winkie Twinkie ….the lollipop run!! ‘Not enough climbing!!! so ‘high, high, high!’ … and steep ‘down down down’… not enough shiggy !! Great run!! PR - in instructions …’It’s a lollypop run! The first check is after you climb to the top at Wong Nai Chung Gap playground !! There the fun begins!!!! ‘😀 WT -‘ Now this is a treasure hunt run .. I set the Rambo trail which is SHIGGY and SHIGGY !! So much SHIGGY that I lost my Ray Bans …. Whoever finds them I will pay for your hash run fees for a year!! - that’s $520 !’ … and the crowd went wild!! WT - ‘so how much are the sunglasses?’ … $120 he replies … how does that maths work ..$520 ~ $120?? …. Ah! $120 US … Pipe Rider - the birthday girl … brought her own cake to have at the bins .. and how many birthdays have u had ?? …. Octo to Indy - an ‘old-fashioned’ recipe given to Indy before birthday girl was born!! Dame Invader - missed doing the Rambo trail .. just up / down on steep concrete paths .. had a torch blowout! Thermal - Wimps lollipop in just over an hour … a great workout!! Dogsh*t / Alex - First Rambo runners in and racing to the end… ‘that was fun!! yep that R trail is very shiggy’.. ‘ T mark at the trig point check??’ … Dogsh*t - ‘and sorry - no sunglasses’… Octo - came in saying ‘ I think there was some virgin trail up there’!…’and yep… no sunglasses’! Pipe Rider at A - worrying like a hen over her chickens!’ … still out after 2 hours .. Lost In Space / Foot Fetish / Lubricated Mud / Freebee LIS / FF / LM / F - ‘having too much fun’ on Rambos trail stopping to take in the views .. sending hashers on false trails!! and time for selfies!! Returnees - welcome back!! Foot Fetish doing the run and bash / SSHT .. at basho but bad back? so no running … LSW Virgin - Nick …brought by Any Fanny’ll Do … Nick - ‘How did you enjoy the R run?’ … ‘Fab! I thought we were doing the Wimps but went on the R trail …,’ … to look for sunglasses ?? Octo to AFWD - had asked on LSW WhatsApp for a pin drop map for A -… so Nick .. who lives at the Blue House 100 metres away!!! DS to Nick - no wonder the food bill is so high, high, high!! Had to cover the cost of your bottle of Guinness’!! DS to DI - torch blowout cost you a ‘Podium Finish’… and last week it was the shopping mall!! 🤣🎉 DS - so how long? And how high, high, high?
