Having only joined one hash before I felt quite comfortable joining in my homestead of Quarry Bay, in which I promptly got lost on the way to the meeting point, which is only 5 minutes from where I live. Finally finding my way (thanks Octopussy) and arriving on time, barely, everyone was gathered around as Wai Chee Kok was explaining the hash.

Everyone started out at the bottom of Mt. Parker Road and made their way up, some running more than others. After running into some boars and wondering about markings the first big arrows started to show the way and we were led slightly more off trail, turning on to Cecil's Ride after a few hundred meters pretty much straight up on tarmac, at this point the pack had already started to get divided a bit.

As part of the first few people up we took a few correct turns, and a few wrong ones, slowly making our way up at a pretty OK pace. After a few kilometers Wai Chee Kok's trail took us a bit more off trail, on a slope maintenance path, which was thing enough that no one I saw was (or wanted to in my case) running but rather a brisk walk keeping a look out for spiders or snakes. Only a toad was reported sighted.

Coming back out on a bit more stable ground everyone went back to running, and at this point the rain started as well, but had not yet affected any markings, which were plentiful and clear - unlike some markings other hash groups had left made out of shredded paper instead of chalk. Octopussy, Cute Boar Butt and myself ended up trying for Rambo while everyone else went wimps as the trail was getting pretty wet at this point. After a valiant try we completley missed the arrow where we were supposed to turn, which was a few hundred meters from where wimps and rambos were separated. it might have been that it washed away, but just as likely that we just didn't see it as I was overly confident in my ability to lead our little troupe (and because my headlight was running out of battery, making it a lot easier not to see any spiders or arrows). After another few hundred meters realizing we were unable to find our way we decided to make it back and go the wimps trail instead, trying to catch up with the rest. We were able to catch up with Any Fanny'll Do close to the end of the trail, after a nice stretch on maintenance stairs and walkways. We were led through a compound and then found the home stretch back to the meeting point.

At the meeting point we found that Wai Chee Kok hadn't listened to Hopeless' advice on the amount of soda waters to buy, as she had opted on a few bottles of prosecco instead. Most, but not all, of us then went to the Bash which was hosted at a restaurant in the Quarry Bay Food Market with some delicious food and nearly no rat sightings. Lost in Space was a true gentleman and went to 7/11 to procure more soda waters.

Down Downs were not properly collected, as I hadn't seen a write up before (sorry everyone!) and didn't realize that should be part of it, so a bit disjointed below:

Kim Kardaxxxian was an enthusiastic choir leader with proper dance moves making sure we got the song right.

Zhuang - so excited but Gobi Lo and LIS so jaded after doing so many runs

CBB to Alex - thinking of first hash thought she was a true hardcore hasher. But Alex was more hardcore than her running in rain and slippery rash
