Write-up - Gobi Lo

As I headed to the run start from Lam Tin MTR, I was reminded of Come Into My Tunnel and Lubricated Trojan's last run they set in Lam Tin before they left for Australia - what a fun run it was! It felt like a lifetime ago, and sometimes it sure feels like it with this remarkable city of ours changed so drastically in the last 3 years.

When I saw Hopeless at the pagoda, Freewheel was already back from his "run" and chugging down a beer heartily. Apparently I have just missed Macau Drunk and Pipe Rider who set off 10 mins before I did. Hopeless told me it would be a simple trail, no splits, all closed checks, no checkbacks. With that, I set off up the steps and along Hing Tin Street and through the overhead bridges and housing estates, and onto the tunnel area. A few tricky markings meant I was double-backing here and there but eventually found my way through the park and onto the "trail".

Once I got onto the trail I could feel a real change of weather - the sudden drop of humidity such a welcome relief to the never-ending muggy summer of Hong Kong. The trail led me past some cute streams and into the village with more checks (all kindly marked off) and then behind some village houses where the dogs were barking in full force.

Up and down the village road and onto the "usual" trail there it intersects Wilson section 3. I ran past the temples with the gaudy lights and the hundreds of statues of deities, all looking rather bored in their frozen faces of contempt for us mere mortals. Then down into the park where I saw Macau Drunk trying to squeeze through the gap in the fence (which he did so successfully - I'm impressed!), and catching up with Pipe Rider before going on home.

Thank you for a well-marked run with the cool autumn weather, Hopeless. On On!

DDs from Gobi Lo

Welcome to run #2401, the start of the 2400s runs!

Hare - thank you for bringing autumn back to Hong Kong, such a welcome relief!

Macau Drunk - hash royalty, back at LSW two weeks in a row

Macau Drunk - squeezing into the gap in the fence instead of leapfrogging over it. So impressed with Macau Drunk

Macau Drunk - managed to squeeze through the gap, only to warm me that there was something sharp on the fence which may catch my shorts / ass

Blow My Tits - upcoming birthday this week, happy birthday!

Pole Dancer - thank you for volunteering to hare next week's run

Pole Dancer - found a great Thai restaurant for next week so he is setting the hash run around it.

All the Brits in the circle - a certain monarch is finally dead and buried, so the rest of the (colonized) world don't have to put up with the 24/7 news coverage on the epitome of imperialism

DDs from the floor:

Winkie Twinky to all the cis-men at the hash - there are actually more males than females today at the LSW hash!

Slippery Banana to Blow My Tits - for fat-shaming Slippery Banana when he was about to squeeze into the fence gap, and Blow My Tits remarked "Are you actually going to squeeze through that??"

Hopeless to Slippery Banana and Dan Paz - pre-hash fighting and arguing!

Hopeless to Foot Fetish - stressing out the hare at 1:30pm, asking when the trail will be set. Hopeless finished laying trail and was waiting at 4:30pm but no one turned up until... 6pm for the walkers.

And to sing the song we have all the males.

On On to Pole Dancer's on Wednesday!
