Write-up - Hopeless

With this pair of hares you know what's coming. Lies of "only 5km" in the group nobody even remotely believed. An A to B with elevation and shiggy and one that had suitable feedback from Gobi Lo to Winky Twinkie when he asked how it was.

It was.... from Ocean Park car park and out left towards Aberdeen and the first Check, Freewheel guessing correctly to Grantham Hospital. No fooling Hopeless with the CB - into the shiggy we go and climb the hill so high high high.... to the catchwater.

Another Open Check (none closed, two hares), right on catchwater towards Aberdeen Upper Reservoir. Open Check, marked too early by Piperider for the ONON stayed on the catchwater and the never-ending shunt to the next (Open) Check.

Into the shiggy we go and climb the hill so high high high.... to Black's Link, faces all aglow. Left, W/R split, Wimps staying on tarmac, Rambos skirting round, both to meet at Wanchai Gap Playground.

Then the dreaded steep downhill all the way down Wanchai Gap Road (x2) and onto the finish at the sitting area next to Hopewell Centre.

We saw the welcome return of Comes Into My Tunnel, not used to the heat, humidity and steepness of HK runs. His return prompted Macau Drunk to go on trail, plus the kudos of being on the 2,400th LSWH3 run. We even had the presence of AFWD who arrived just as Gobi Lo's Down Downs were finishing in the park and the Fun Police were trying to evict us and lock up the park!

On to the Shanghainese 369 restaurant for food and refreshments!

Gorf - gunning it on the catchwater, pushing hard not to get overtaken by Gobi Lo but of course Gobi always catches up on the uphill

Pole Dancer - super fast on the flat

Macau Drunk - returnee, but only to hang with Comes Into my Tunnel

Foot Fetish - was running without looking forward, almost fell into the catchwater..!

Blow My Tits - was passed by the walkers not once but twice

Freebie - getting lost on the second check, ending up in a graveyard alone with a Chinese man

Walkers - Junko, Horny Buttstabber, Foot Fetish - no longer called walkers as they were all seen running !

Junko - "ohhhh my knees!" moaning about her knees when she got back from the run

Pipe Rider - writing some questionably rude things on the steps but perhaps meant for Winkie Twinkie

Hopeless - started as a walker but was seen running downhill

Any Fanny Will Do - did not run; made a late appearance to get his name on the run t-shirt
