Write-up - Lost In Translation

Well done to our new hare Foot Fetish and our virgin hare Luisa for setting in such horrendously wet weather. And thank you so much to Luisa for going back out again to remark the trail - you must love steps!!

Eventually the rain had stopped but humidity was in full force when I reached A where a very disappointed hare, Foot Fetish, was waiting for us to give instructions as in 'good luck if you find trail - just head to the long steep steps'.

Poledancer and CUTR kindly waited on me and we head out together along Caine Road following huge lines of flour (looked like a junkie's dream come true). About 3 minutes into the run, we lost CUTR - Lord knows how as the markings were very huge & clear. As we hit the park on Conduit Road, Poledancer looks up and says 'ah these will be the steep steps the hare told us to head towards' .. IF only Poledancer, if only, as about another 4 minutes into the run then we hit the real steep steps & Poledancer whips out his camera, (Yes only his camera ladies, nothing to get excited about) and snaps a quick pic for proof of said steps. Up we go, all the way to the top where trail took us left along Po Sham Road & into the rocky contour path. At this point we could feel the rain starting to tease us, was it gonna pour or just a wee spit now & then.

Poledancer far more agile on his feet than I, shot off on the slippery contour path where I was more wary, taking my time to ensure I did not obtain a Hopeless 'gash'.

Not far at the end of this path is where I bumped into Luisa and the walkers still throwing massive amounts of flour down (thank you). Now I've done many hashes and set many trails but I have never in my life witnessed a hare setting in a smart skirt and blouse (does she have a hash name yet?)!! Amazing. Maybe we should make it an LSWH3 annual event, the hare has to set in a skirt & blouse (yes even the fellas) - you know, like the Red Dress Day Run.

Anyway, I digress (as us Scots do). As I come out onto Old Peak Road and the rain is now hammering down, I was delighted to see Poledancer waiting with CUTR and 2nd time Deidre. The option was up Old Peak Road (this was never really an option if we are honest) or down May Road. With no trail left to follow, we opted for May Road & as Poledancer knew (ish) his way back, I tailed him all the way back to A.

Well done ladies, really enjoyable trail & thanks again. Sorry to miss the bash.

The hares - Foot Fetish / Luisa.... What a huge effort they put in to ensure there was a trail to follow with torrential rain wiping it out!!

FF / Luisa - a great fun trail... still enjoyed by all who came back smiling !... despite being drenched !!

FF / Luisa - set the trail not just once... but twice... and still markings disappeared... what happened to that 'waterproof chalk'?

First out of the park - Hicky Longstocking / Deb K / Junta... Luisa led the way and remarked trail with them...

Runners - next out of the blocks Pole Dancer / Lost In Translation / CUTR / Deirdre... followed hares second markings end Po Shan shiggy.. and then ?? Still managed to follow enough true trail....

The remainder taking off later - Tightlips / Blow My Tits / Denvy / Freebee / Octo... er ran together looking for trail... split up.. ran in pairs... separated.. for lost... and finally all arrived back to A... but not together... great fun out there !!

The Swiss hares - having fun with Swiss markings... before they were washed away.. yodelling in the rain !!

Swiss Pying (in absentia ) - in Singapore but checking on hares' progress...

Pole Dancer - only male at bash !! The cat that got the cream ??.. or amongst the pigeons.. Ha ha... oops!! Screwtop back next week !!

Name checks... Junto - what is Jill's hash name ?? Er er er.. 'Tits to blow ??'... hmm.. close !!

Returnee - Blow My Tits.. after 5 months away !! Great to see you back in hk!

BMT - caught up with 4 different hk hashers in 4 different countries !!

Foot Fetish - what is Julie's LSW hash name ?? Er er er... Gin 'n Vomit ?? Wrong.. that's WH3 name....

So Julie.. Tightlips - only 3 LSW hashes to go till leaving for Bonny Scotland !!..

And Deb K - of no hash name... where do you teach?.. HK Poly U.. Pole Dancer quips.. 'no name from that one then'... hmmm??

All those whose 'hood' is / was around Caine Rd park... Foot Fetish / Luisa / CUTR / Pole Dancer / Indy / Gobi Lo...

CUTR - at hash but missed bash although lives 100 metres from bash... gotta get that app !! Brilliant Indian food!!

Octo / FF / BMT - wearing one of Hopeless' shirts..

Octo to Luisa - smartest looking hare... went out to set trail again and the second time wearing her skirt.. meant for bash !!

Hares - thanks for all your effort in ensuring a fab hash and yummy Indian food !!

And the LSW song was 'delightfully' I sung by Foot Fetish / Luisa.. with much hilarity.. and yodelling !!!
