Madam Octo was firm on nobody leaving early. Hashing on Wednesdays returns to normal. Virgin hare Deborah K stood by as Octopussy delivered the briefing, which included a R1 lollipop and onto R2, so Mount Johnston was suspected. The start of the run was a little unusual - an elevator to 'Subway level' out of the waterfront park.

Several Checks on Lei Tung Estate Road took the pack up to the bus terminus, and up the steps towards... Mount Johnston! The W/R split was on the steps followed by the R1/R2 marking. Yup... Mount Johnston for first Rambos. Thermal Dick was obviously impressed by tonight's trail as he noticed the hares sent us up the rope path to the summit at 165m. The way back down was a little tricky to find as there are at least three options to get back to the start of the lollipop but found and onto R2!

After the re-join some zig zagging up a car park building to head to Yuk Kwan Shan Service Reservoir. Steep steps, a contour around the top and then a long downhill as Poon Tang shot past at speed. He was quickly followed by Wai Chee Kok, following him left and right and into South Horizons. The scenic waterfront trail took in most blocks of this estate before turning in past the Ap Lei Chau public fish market. The fragrant smells meant a speed up of pace!

Then we turned back towards Ap Lei Chau waterfront promenade and the On Home for a 7km finish. Great trail, well-marked and a variety of terrains mixing things up.

Down Downs by Hopeless

The hares - the run, the (to be delivered) Middle Eastern pizzas.

Deborah K - virgin hare - well done!

Freebee - nonstop talking on trail. Could be heard talking about Hopeless at the top of the Rambos Mount Johnson Hill

Junko - for listening to Freebee all trail and running this week!

Jason, Poledancer and Screwtop - good markings of Checks and CBs.

Poon Tang - constantly losing trail and going back n fore towards Hopeless.

Wai Chee Kok - 'Hey, old man, big arrow right here!'

Macau Drunk - disappointed no Coasteering tonight!

Piperider & Winky Twinky - no snakes tonight or hash crashes, only the Teletubby crash in the Mong Kok toy store. Who knew a Teletubby was worth HKD 33,000?!

Snatch Catcher (in absentia) for losing (then finding) her phone on trail.

The group sang the song!
