Write Up - Gangbanger

After a week of cold and unstoppable rain, Luisa and I were grateful to Hopeless for arranging the weather for the hash which took us to some unknown parts of Shau Kwei Wan through Rambo 1, 2 and 3!! Although we missed the first underpass, too busy complaining about the stupidity of the new social distancing measures, we were quick at figuring out our way and strolling by some 'garages' before reaching the Museum Coastal Defence. As we walked on some grassy sideways along the Island Eastern Corridor, we kept on looking on to the left for some arrows to take us away from the highway (for fear of missing clues, we even climbed up the ramp only to realize that we could have stayed at road level)... Finally an arrow pointed us to a little path off the road, bringing us in the middle of a mini-forest. How on earth did Hopeless end up here, we both wondered... Our walk led us through some old abandoned barracks. Luisa and I were quick at imagining these lots as our next quarantine refuge in case any of us were tested positive...

As we opted to go for Rambo, we ended up in a place with an Angkor Wat feel before getting back to the split R/W where we bumped into Horny Butt Stabber and his friend. We retraced together our steps and ended up at the same spot again. So we concluded that this was just a loop and we should move on. The next attraction point was a swimming pool recovered by cement - we guessed that this must have been the former MedClub's holiday bungalows before the government closed it down to avoid any further virus spread in the nature...

The next part of the hash brought us to some elevation and view points, and eventually a former Sai Wan Battery which even incorporated the latest technology (solar panel! - excuse me for my professional sickness). The hash took us to another two Rambo splits in some loopy parts before leading us back to our sad civilisation through car-park and abandoned ping pong tables...

Thanks to Hopeless for making us discover great views and for the 6.3km of exercise, our last one mask-free! OnOn!!
