Happy Valley Hare - Gobi Lo Hashers - Chris C, Gobi Lo, Snatch Catcher, Octopussy, Winky Twinkie, Pole Dancer, Blow My Tits, Indyanus, JJ, Telecum, Hopeless, Gang Banger, Pipe Rider, Wai Chee Kok Write-up - Octopussy T8 Kompasu was lurking around the whole day as LSW hashers waited with bated breath to know whether Gobi's 400th run would come to fruition. At 4pm the signal was down to T3 and the announcement made that the run was on! This was a relief for the cooped at home hashers Screwtop, Octo and BMT who were dying to stretch their legs in the wild wind! At 5pm we got a notification that the gates of the Sing Woo park were closed so the A had to be shifted to a highly public main road cafe called Coffee Roasters. So throwing caution to the T3 wind the hashers came to the A in dribs and drabs tag teaming each other to mind the bags until the hare returned. Gobi was out on trail as hare by 5:30 after having done another 10km hash earlier in the day in the T8. We were doubtful if she would be back to the A by the 6:30 start time. But amazingly she was! Just before she returned Hopeless, Pipe Rider and Winky Tinky were already off on trail. Screwtop, BMT and Octo waited for the hare to buy drinks but then were relieved by the next tag team Telecum who came along at that time. So the three of us set off. The trail went up to Tung Shan Terrace and onto Bowen Rd then there was a check at some service stairs. Having reccied those stairs years before Octo knew there was no trail there so she ran along Bowen Rd. However finding no trail and hearing an OnOn call from Screwtop she was pleasantly surprised... up the service stairs the trail went and then it reached a fence and it went around the fence on onto some workmen stairs! What a surprise and great find! Temporary virgin trail for LSW! The stairs went right up until they came out at at a metal door which led onto Stubbs Road. No wonder Gobi was quite insistent on setting the trail on the T8-T3 day because the trail maybe gone soon.. this was truly a pop up trail. Then the trail went left and down Stubbs Rd then onto Blue Pool road and back to the home where the party was really starting with Indy arriving with champagne and cake. There were 2 cakes also one from JJ to make it a real celebration for Gobi. As some runners were threatening to leave as they were so tired from doing 2 hashes Indy started some DDs and then got interrupted by 2 of the most polite boys in blue who felt bad about checking on us and almost apologetically told us that they had to come and check because somebody reported on us. Then they suggested maybe we could go to the park (the park which is behind their police quarters ??). But since the bash was already booked so I just told them we would go there instead. So the party continued with some delicious food at a hidden backstreet restaurant complete with skittles cake and plenty of Down Downs and the song sang on the street after 10pm! Well done to Gobi for 400 runs and also setting a memorable run!
Down downs Part 1 Outside Coffee Roasters on the street The hare - Gobi Lo ... fab run 'up up up' (but not quite to the Peak!) with virgin LSW trail... and smiling faces returning 'all aglow' to A... albeit wet !! Gobi Lo - 400 runs with LSW!! Well done!! Gobi Lo - coping brilliantly with T8 weather conditions, changing to T3, torrential rain and changing venues! Gobi Lo - As Get Smart said 'Good thinking 99!'.. the usual park behind the Police Station was closed due to T8 so A was the front step area of Expresso Coffee.... T8 hashers x T3 in a day - The hare herself, Gobi Lo, Telecum, Hopeless Telecum - returnee ! Came specifically for Gobi's 400th LSW run! Telecum - well packed for 2 hashes in a day ! And who packed for him but Yummi !! Does not trust Telecum to properly pack for himself! Those who pack their partner's bag?...no way! says Blow My Tits / Screwtop / Wai Chee / Pipe Rider / Octo / JJ JJ - where is your hubby in this Swiss weather ? 'The run would be too flat' says she !! JJ - presenting her delicious homemade banana cake to Gobi Lo to celebrate her 400 runs!!... yummy!!! And bubbles all round !!! Well done Gobi Lo!! And then along came HK's Finest...... So whilst eating / drinking we all grabbed our face masks!! And On On to the bash and DD's Part 2 Gobi Lo - 400 run celebration !! When did you start running on LSW?? Errrrr... one year after / before Octo ?? Chris / Winky Twinky - only 2 men at the bash... Chris - where do you live ? Age ? Married ?? Loads of info discovered... you had to be there !! Chris - good sport in coping with the harriets' inquisition... Non runners at bash - Grateful Head / Euginie The Sunday Mahjong group - Gobi / Gang Banger / Euginie Wai Chee - leaving AB at home to chew up more of the lounge!! Can't wait to see the pics!!! Separate table - Snatch Catcher / Grateful Head / Gangbanger / Euginie Pipe Rider / Octo - going to Winky Twinky's pad for a loooong shower. !! Pipe Rider / Winky Twinky - moving from own separate pads this week... Pipe Rider / WT - no more runs from the back of Happy Valley Police Station Gobi Lo - Happy 400 runs!! And a skittles cake to celebrate !! Chris - lurves the skittles cake so much that takes a good slab home !! Gobi Lo -Many thanks for an excellent T8-T3 hash run and bash !!! And all the effort you put into ensuring it was such a success!! And then after another eviction... this time from the basho place we were back on the streets to sing the 'beloved' LSW hash song led by.... 'The hare'!!!
