Write-up - Dogshit

Arrived for the LSW hash taking Uber and dropped off at the Li Chi Kok Sports Centre at 6:20pm and walked around the Public Poo toward Exit G - I kept wandering around on the ground floor below Exit G and no markings kept following pavement and now went past Exit F I msg group chat and asked for a Pin drop and Daddy Pants shared his location on WhatsApp but I was right near the Pin so started following but then noticed it was moving...

Then saw CUTR run by so now I was going in wrong direction. So decided to go into station now at Exit D and then try and get to G exit. But the station doesn't allow me to get to G from D (unless you check into the station). Grrrr finally figured out it was above me (after PD called me) and went up and found exit G and saw Kannot Finnish and followed him and the markings to A now 6:45pm

Pole Dancer and ScrewTop gave me a briefing / they thought would rain so hell bank $ and lots of flour and chalk. Then headed out onto trail and was down the big stairs where I saw CUTR (I was so close to the start)

Then trail headed out right past the Sport Centre where I was dropped off but I didn't see the flour which was prevalent but on the other side of the road. Up and over the Castle Peak Rd highway.

Then up some familiar trails to the Cheung Hang Village Playground and right onto Cheung Hang road. All the checks were marked so far with arrows or ? Then I passed 2 girls obviously hashers but I don't know their names.

Trail then went into the country park and I was greeted on the flyover by a monkey and trail went up the regular trail. Now about 2.5km into trail and was the Wimps Rambo split - feeling good opted for Rambo right and then followed the trail going anti clockwise from the start and was a climb up up.

Got to a clearing near the top and DP was coming the wrong direction on trail he pointed at an ON ON arrow facing the direction back from where we came from... I advised can't be back this way and continued on and found hell bank and flour. Told DP must have been a mistake or someone screwing with the trail.

Then trail went up a long set of steps (not stairs?) and at the top I hit a partially rubbed out large flour T went back and the other direction nothing - went through the T and found trail... must have been an arrow that got kicked out.

Then was a long long way down slightly declined road and I was able to run it quite quickly.

Caught back up with the 2 girls (must have done wimps) and they seemed a bit lost even though the markings were very visible (thought probably new hashers and they were too busy chatting to watch the ground). They followed me across the road and into the Village where ST advised just go through it if no markings... but markings were there.

Carried on down and then past 2 nice smiley faces the 2nd at a pretty waterfall (later hearing ST waited there for PD as she laid the wimps and had time to make the fun drawings).

Then trail was back over the highway and back to A.

GPS showed 7.88km in 1:10:34 min - hot day and was sweating profusely and a bit dehydrated but was a great run - and excellent markings.

Thanks Hares !

addendum - some notes from the hares:

Octpussy ended back out on trail. She missed right turn at end after village and caught up to Indi who thankfully told her she was on out trail again. She took so long in shower she also struggled to follow markings to bash

Twinkly winky was sure he saw a cobra on trail. Go B-low not convinced

Hopeless took a couple of wrong ways on checks! And meet up with fighting monkeys at one wrong turn and a boar stuck in a ditch

Octo and Comes up the Rear surprised all by being early - CUTR can't miss out on a chance to race but hobbled to MTR with an injury after coming in second to Poontang (no racing on hash of course)

Indi arrived after 7 so did a superwimps

Those who didn't come to bash missed out on delicious chocolate cake with strawberry compote and salted caramel frosting made by Pipe Rider to celebrate returning to bashes (not a birthday cake!)
