Stanley Hare - Sticky Sex Toy Screwtop FB photos Runners - Bobbledick, CUTR, O'Bollocks, Octo, The Plank, Pole Dancer, Hanna Montana, Indyanus, Timbits, Screwtop, Poon Tang, Crackpot, Wai Chee Kok, Pig Fokker, PCT Arriving early as the office is still on Convid-19 hours, no SST, and nobody else... but Stanley early evening is certainly not the worst place in HK to idle a few minutes. On Sunday, I was told "you don't have to do the run" in a way that I'd probably wake up with a horse's head in my bed if I don't, so another LSW it was.
As the clock ticked towards 7, SST became more anxious - would this be another Tsing Yi (reference that only Hopeless will get)? It was only when being tasked with getting Ice (!) - that three 'runners' carbo loading in the Smugglers were revealed, un-surprisingly Crack-pot, and OB - but slightly more surprisingly for LSW, Timbits were obviously not shooting for the Rambo's. Eventually returning with a small Scottish person - a healthy pack had formed, waiting for the run briefing. Which despite being ring rusty due to school closures - did not disappoint., with detailed maps, lollipops and enough description of rocks/clambering to convince OB and Timbits that the Double Rambo's would not be a smart move after said long cold one. Worryingly Tiny pointed us in completely the wrong direction, but off we went towards the pier round the coastline - with Hanna Montaner confidently leading the way as he had set the same trail with SST before. Arriving at the first split Pole Dancer took all of 0.0000000001 seconds to opt for the steps, rather than rocks. The rest of the pack, minus Crack pot gamely attacked the rocks - with Pick Fokker demonstrating that he knows how to get his leg over rocks as well, disappearing with Hanner. Arriving at the beach - a deceptively easy check allowed Po and Wai Chee to catch up, after plenty of faffing that only a hash can produce - On On was called past the boat and up a bit of waste ground onto the path above. As not wanting to show up the LSW with his awesome running ability, PCT settled for mid table obscurity with Timbits around the costal path - with some helpful markings from the hare for Frank the plank to avoid falling into holes. Running with Timbits, who claimed local knowledge, was completely useless - and not a check-back, but up the steps - and onto Chung Hom Kok Rd (another of HK's seemingly endless innuendo-tastic place names). Arriving at a multi-way completely obvious check - handily solved the hard-way (trying everything) by a directionally challenged Pole-dancer, Timbits and PCT headed down the steps. Along the road named after a tall Southsider - Timbits continued to be completely useless in working out where the trail would go ... so past the start, past the library and through Stanley, past SST's workplace and out towards the PLA holiday camp. All of a sudden Wai Che gracefully glided into view, and slightly less gracefully Crack-pot - making a handy foursome - for a brief period. Remembering the run briefing, and suddenly feeling the effects of the pre-run cold one - Timbits peeled off in a way that would make Goose proud, therefore making a Rambo's-Super wimps trail the hare had not quite planned. Heading up Wong Ma Kok Rd (ref: another WFT name) - aka the lolli-pop - the Wimps2 was passed by the three remaining runners in this mini-pack. Despite warnings from OB, when it came Crack-Pot attacked the Rambo/rocks, like she would a Margareta - before fading badly. Reaching Che Pau Teng, and turning down - Why Chee accelerated past the gentlemanly PCT and the tiny wooden steps down to the barracks. Turning back towards Stanley, the start could actually be glimpsed in the distance - obviously being an overweight alcoholic is not the best way to keep up with Wai Chee - but having the stitch for the first time in yonks showed I was at least game (4.33mins for that km according to Garmin - I thank you). Taking the idiot loop that was the Wimps2, back to the road - before taking the steps down past Stanley market - round the waterfront and back to A, where much of the pack was after doing variations of the well mark trail on offer. Having not run in Stanley that much, a really enjoyable and very marked trail (and I'm not just saying that to ensure I don't get deaded). Pizza, red-wine on the sea-front, and a circle from Indy that finished before Saturday - what is not to like. Down Downs by Indy... and others.. The hare - Sticky Sex Toy.... Thumbs up for the run! Enjoyable / Interesting trail for both W and R... SST - As she says 'Stanley rules! Yeh!' SST - able to set run as not at school all day in the current situation.... Yours truly Indy - reminder of how set a run over the rocks around Stanley prison about 12 years ago with Nurse F*****! hashers were 'caught' by very angry prison guards! .... Octo - on trail tonight much hooting and hollering was heard on trail... hashers afraid that someone had seen a snake??.....nope just excited prisoners... Octo - the only one here who has actually been inside Stanley prison.....?? SST - Crackpot thanks you for telling her basically to not do the rocks! SST - Check on the beach ? Returnee - Timbits! Welcome back! Timbits - arrived at Stanley at 5.45pm so with the time to spare... spent it having a quiet one or 2 at Smugglers..... joined by O'Bollox and Crackpot .. Returnee - O'Bollocks..... Welcome back to the run in your home town!!! OB to Timbits - a tad miffed as Timbits beat him in on the trail even after the 'carbo lubing' at Smugglers..... PCT to OB - both escaped Valentine's by being on the RS2H3 away tour..... and having a few 'date days' with each other whilst away...... Returnee - Pole Dancer...been out of action for 6 months, but still super fit! How? gym work! Screwtop - very brave indeedy - drinking red wine with her white top on! PCT - O'Bollocks claims that PCT is a 'loving and caring' b/f to 'Tiny'..... so did the hash tonight on threat of.............. Screwtop / Indy - now 'supervising' online home teaching until April 20th!! Pole Dancer - word has it that in your household there are no 'slight arguments' even with all that home learning.....?... Distinctive coughing was heard and the words 'B..S...' from himself! Hannah Montana - Good to see you! Thought u were headed back to Cherry Blossom land??.... .... Decided a bit too tricky to return to Japan at the moment..... OB - According to Crackpot, now that u r working from home, u have had the opportunity to finish the longest computer game ever.... Comes Up the Rear- Some political joke that was lost on Yours Truly? On in the Canadians - CUTR / Crackpot... Returnee - Frank the Plank! Good to see you at LSW..... SST - good briefing for tonight's run... misses the classroom so using the skills at the hash..... Crackpot / OB - Looking endearingly at the flat above them where they spent 2 happy years.... Crackpot / OB - since they left that flat, the pub /resto below them lost so much $ that it was sold out to a 711... PCT - To Motormouth (in absentia) about to leave HK... he got into hashing through a friend of a friend who was introduced to hashing through her... Comes Up the Rear - also started hashing through MM's encouragement! Octo DD - Very sad to hear of Teeny Weeny's (Nic Tinworth's) passing away... Our thoughts are with Nia and their daughter.... PCT - 'happily volunteered' to do the run report of his 'Tiny's' run! Crackpot - scribbling down all the down downs in legible writing! SST - Excellent hash and basho... And the song was sung by the hare SST - On On to next week's run - Hare Hopeless and celebrating his 30 years of hashing!!!...... And Hannah will defo be staying in HK for that one!! And then just as the hash began for some.. so it ended with Timbits, Crackpot, O'Bollocks having another quiet one at Smugglers... joined by Yours Truly Indy .. 8.60km 76mins
