Tiu Keng Leng Hare - Burning Lust The pack - Cheesy, CUTR, Dogshit, Gary Glitter, LIT, Octopussy, BMT, Indyanus, Tight Lips, SSHT, Hopeless, Free Wheel, Poon Tang, Macau, Rooted, Wai Chee, PCT LIT FB photos Burning Lust as a hare almost always means some kind of "challenging" shiggy. Made more so, it seems, this time, as he appeared to be rapidly running out of flour while trying to find his way out of Rambo2 shiggy..... but we are ahead of ourselves...... To get to the run location, across from Exit A of TKL station, the pack had to run the gauntlet of hordes of students ripping up pavements so they could go trash one of the classrooms in the IVE. (Apparently one student was found dead on the waterfront and this seemed to justify smashing up a classroom, which is a measure of how illogical all this nonsense is in HK right now). Anyway, once past the brick-wielding mob and up the steps to the start, the hare briefed us on two splits and the aforementioned shiggy on R2. We almost didn't even make it to R1/W1 split because the first Check had us totally bamboozled on the road by the housing estates. Lost In Translation went off right, Cheesy to the left, and zip found..... Hopeless decided BL's markings might have been a victim of "The Fun Police" (non-riot shield bearing personnel) and opted for the alleyway into Choi Ming Public Housing Estate. Lo and behold, under the canopy, an arrow..... (hare says first OnOn must have been scrubbed). So, as Hopeless goes back to call the pack on, a strange phenomenon occurred...... the ever late Indy Anus, arriving at the Check last, suddenly, for the first time in living memory, became THE FRB! Of course the ravenous pack was not having that for too long, the (desperate to be at the front) CUTR passing her without so much as a "hello", followed by poon Tang and Dogshit. Out the estate, over the road, and the inevitable steps / terracing to Po Lam Road South. With no BL to shout at during the run this week, CUTR copped it from Rooted for not calling and taking the same way on Checks as those he thought knew where the trail was going. The predicted right turn and shunt up towards the Mau Wu Shan Bunker was temporarily halted with most of the pack suckered into the Check Back along the chain fence. Hopeless, local knowledge, went straight for the fort and up to the top where "Split Ahead" greeted us. "Ahead" was not "immediate" but more like 200m away, the hare's "recce" obviously fresh in his mind as to how long it was until the actual divide in the path. Later Strava evidence shows he got lost trying to find the R1 path, cut it back, so, in the end, the difference between W1 & R1 was a short diversion of about 100m which allowed Rooted to get ahead on the pack as she opted for W1. Up on to Black Hill, only for the trail to take a diversion right, all the way down to the temple at Lam Tin Park where a badly marked corner (!), meant LIT, Blow My Tits and Hopeless lost trail for a few minutes, the (very quiet) Princess Cock Tosser now getting ahead of them, trying to catch Cheesy. Next split, R2 on a direct descent through virtually no trail just bashing, to come out above TKL and a right turn to catch the Wimps by the Wilson Trail steps. W2 took the longer detour around to the usual shiggy trail onto the tarmac contour. Gary Glitter described it as "Bloody Hell, that was a Ramboey Wimp trail! So re-join, run on past Ocean Shores and onto the finish, and a few cold ones. Oh, except one person..... At 9pm the pack headed to the restaurant, just in time for Indy to be picked up, incoming from trail. "I did R2!" (by accident!!)...... luckily there were still 2 cans of Soda Water left to placate her from her 2 hour excursion of the hills of TKL. Nice trail, thanks to BL! Down Downs by Indy The Hare - Burning Lust..... And the run? 'Not enough steps,.... Not enough altitude..... Not enough rough shiggy.... Too much flour!!!!...... well done, enjoyed by all!! BL - thanks for stepping in with short..ish notice!! Rooted - so what did you think of the run and markings.....? 'Well she is still here at the bash.... that speaks volumes...' Rooted - not going home to cut up BL's clothes this time like a few years ago....... And who was at that infamous BL 'clothes-cutting-up-run'?...... (metaphorically speaking).... Hopeless / Octo / Comes Up the Rear / Indy / Wai Chee..... BL - 1st check had everyone running around like headless chickens including CCF/CUTR/Lost In Translation/Hopeless etc etc... And who solved that 1st check?? Hopeless...... and then ran back to mark the check and gather the troops... Yours truly Indy - became an FRB (for 30 secs!!) as Hopeless pointed moi in the right direction as he went back Gary Glitter - unfortunately for him was completely lost after checking the first check.... was puffing up the steps 15 mins after the rest.... Wai Chee - even later but on shiggy / steppy trail was calling out to Poon Tang, who had also gone in completely wrong direction... to the hospital?? Late comer - Tight Lips..... did own trail..... GG - marking GG at checks so 'the royal we' knew he had 'gone through'... Hopeless - insignia hash markings.....adding an 'h' curve to the arrow..... BL - very 'helpfully' advising yours truly of a 'shorter cut'.... at top of Black Hill...... which ended up being a 'longer cut'.. ended up bashing her way through the Rambo shiggy shiggy downhill trail....... (see piccy for the artwork!) Rambo runners - Lost In Translation / Octo / CUTR / Wai Chee / Poon Tang / South Side Sex Toy / Dogsh*t Rooted - Wimps trail as did not want to have any hash crash (as she had expected on BL's trail???) Red wine drinkers - GG/ Wai Chee / Poon Tang / CUTR / Rooted / BL / Princess C*ck Tosser PCT - bringing his own bottle of red wine...but not opening it preferring to down GG's....! Returnees - Dogsh*t / South Side Hash Toy.... welcome back!! SSHT - why don't you come to LSW even if DS travelling?? 'Don't like running in the dark without him!!' was the reply......... Ooooohhhhh... BL - 'How long to set the R and W trail??'...... 4 hours only.... 'And how much flour???'...'Well......' PCT - now running a boarding hose at Pak Sha Wan.... how many 'sleepoverers' can you have in one guest room??? BL - Thanks muchly for a great hash and bash....
