Well no surprises where the start would be for this run. The hare sticks on the safe side and starts us close to exit B4 North Point amongst the throng of Hong back street life, and not a place for modesty when getting your kit off.

Pack of around 20 turned up, all in reasonable time, even Indie. The discussion before the run, apart, from our oracle Hopeless predicting whether the run would go clockwise or anti-clockwise, same - same up along and down, but just in a different direction, was the extradition kick off at Admiralty. LIT was requested to translate the Police Commissioner statements that was it a disturbance or a riot. Upon confirmation of a riot, our pseudo legal adviser, the hare, then advised you can get 10 years for this, and shit after June 20 up to Motherland for your trial and bye-bye to freedom of rights and the other nasty things that go on up there. Less of political ranting and the more interesting, hash relevant matter of the Garmin, yes your scribe ( and it’s true) can now not only turn his instrument on and off, but hey, can record a trail, keep an eye on fatness level give inside leg measurement and even tell you the price of eggs.! Must have been some excitement for me on trail, BPM maxed at 178 and the watch beeped a bit. Now I’m sounding boring so on to the run.

Succinct briefing from hare, with co hare beside, 8 bags of flour used, a bit of chalk and no hell bank money despite the wet conditions. Some frowns from the pack, you know who you are, then instruction for the off up the steps.

Up and up and up the steps we went. After about 200metres your scribe could hear no more calling , seems pack in FRB mode and left just the old boys Cupid & I behind, wheezing our way along until we got to the top and a check, marked off, thank you FRB’s and this was good for the rest of the run, hash protocol in play.

A bit more meandering until we got onto Tin Hau Temple Road, but hey wait in our feeble pursuit to catch the FRB’s we missed a cheeky little trail laid with flour running parallel below us. We carried on the road, then had to get back to said cheeky trail as our road veered off in a different direction. By now given up all hope of getting up amongst the pack, so Cupid and I decided to have a blokes chat about what else other than sports. We discussed the merits of the Women’s World Cup and the cricket score results, then on to Cupid’s golf prowess and the boys tour in Bangkok last weekend, time to end this discussion, as conveniently my Garmin beeped, but this time the 1 K point, seems like been running for ages.

Followed trail up Po Luen Path then run through Choi Sai Woo park, very pleasant, some sneaky markings here and there that had me going down a couple of paths the wrong way. Cupid, tired with my gossiping, decided to accelerate away from me, but it didn’t work for him as he too got trail wrong so back together again - nice!!

Out of park, crossed over Braemar Hill Road and a spurt down Cloud View road. It was somewhere along this bit of trail we caught up with ever so short cutting Indie, denying vociferously that she had indeed run full trail. Could this be another example of fake news?

I could see once on Fortress Hill Road that we were heading for the polluted, noisy Kings Road and agh not the run in back to the bins. No our hare had us diving right through the back streets, smells and wonders of Hong Kong, locals walking packs of dogs, stray cats avoiding the back street kitchens for fear of being served up as a bit of sweet and sour fare, and the locals doing what locals do, staring at these crazy Gwelio’s running through their streets.

On in to the bins, FRB’s already gone to the showers. Garmin watch showed 3.7 K and 43.09 mins, elevation gain 176 metres, and oh yes 30 cm inside leg measurement.

Great summer run hares, short, but markings held up and in good time for super Vietnamese nosh at the hare’s favourite restaurant. Scribe could not stay for the down downs.

Last word before I hand over to Indie for the down downs, I propose a name change for me - Garmin Man, I just love my Garmin Mann.

Down Downs by Indy

The Hares - Any Fanny'll Do / Camel Driver..... 'Too long?? Too much shiggy??' The puurrrrfect run given the wet and thunderous recent weather.....

Octo / CUTR - had to leave early under pretence of another function...

Octo / CUTR - Is the real reason due to suffering from 'pepper spray-itis and tear gas-itis?'

AFWD - When asking him if he could HARE a run is always happy to help out... The email from Yours Truly was titled 'You must hate getting an email from me cause you know.......... HARE.... run??'

Camel Driver - a professional co- HARE! That's twice in 2 weeks that she has CO-HARED!! Thanks!!

AFWD - lurves his rugby humour!!!...... before bash and DDs had set a couple of 'rules' for Lost In Translation / Crackpot and Yours Truly (Indy)...

LIT - Must drink when Indy laughs..(easy way to get p*ssed!)

Crackpot - must drink when Indy says Shut Up (in the nicest possible way....)

AFWD - (and we set this one for him... I think??) Must drink whenever any varied reference to the HARE/S are mentioned!!! As u can imagine there was a lot of drinking going on.... twas SO hilarious!! And just check out the number of times 'HARING' is referred to??? And the number of times Yours Truly laughed and said STFU!!!

Camel Driver - 'So.. of the 2 runs... which did you enjoy CO-HARING the most??'... A very PC reply of 'Ahhhhh...'.. with dagger eyes coming from AFWD....

Bubbledock - came to CD's rescue and gave his perceptive analysis of the HARING..'Well last week the HARES had that 'interesting' A with the 20 min escalator / steps upon arrival to see the night lights of Ho Man Tin etc...... and then the heroine beach with syringes but waterfront /up ups and downs ....and this week's HARE set A as a 2 min walk...many up ups and then downs... from night lights over HK island from Braemar.... then running around the back streets of North Point night life.... Both had a bit of mix and match!!! Both interesting!!

BD = a minor observation... so much flour used by the HARES to lay trail???

AFWD to BD...- 'Too much flour?? Que?? Twas rainy weather.....??

BD - 'So... did you collect some of it to take home and make bread?'

Ninja Whinja to CD - as CO-HARE how did you lay the flour in those methodical come-like shapes...

BD - had to leave early - ish as needed to make that long trip back to Lamma......

BD / Oral Dysentery - As BD rushing away he was confirming his 'lunchdate' with OD!!

LIT - on way to hash.... near where they live she had the experience of 'Sh***ing herself... metaphorically of course! In the small concrete park area saw 2 long intertwined snakes apparently shagging!!

LIT - "Dead bodies no problem.... but snakes????????'

LIT - so now if you read last week's trash... what is someone called who has a fear of snakes?? ,,,,Ophidiophobia.......

Rooted - quote 'I am Indy's brain'.... (You had to be there..... but LIT was drinking a lot for that one!!)

AFWD - Could not stop laughing.... causing a chain reaction... so LIT was drinking heaps!!!

Wai Chee / Poon Tang / Rooted - good to see you could make this week's LSW run HARED by AFWD / CD!!

Gary Glitter - has a fan club! When Catch of the Day saw his piccie on previous LSW run said 'Wow!! Isn't GG looking fab and fit!!!???'

Ninja Whinja - Returnee! And how did you enjoy your second LSW run.... HARED by AFWD / CD??

Crackpot - spent last weekend in Bangkok with a mate.... and no drinking for 4 days!!

Crackpot - whilst she was away hubby O'Bollocks built himself his 1.5 metre tall Lego Saturn V rocket... strategically placed where it can be best used!!

LIT - "All by Herself!"... Hopeless has gone off to LSW Reunion in UK HARED by Cyclops and Headlamp!! So when that cat is away...... (not sure what Lego she will build??????)

Hopeless (lookalike Ninja!) - $ (or pounds) no object in order to get 2 more runs on his run count!! (note to BD!!)

Ninja Whinja - getting checks right..... at one point was an FRB....??

Rooted to NW - not calling loud enough when he was FRB'ing....... (or was it the other way around??)

GG - so what did the new Garmin tell you this week??

GG - And as next week's HARE... thanks for doing the run report!

The HARES - AFWD / CD...thanks for a great hash and riotous bash.... Love the rugby games!!

And the song was sung by... the HARES!!!!
