May Day public holiday family run

2pm ferry from Central Pier 4 to Yung Shue Wan
Ferry takes 25mins
NB the ferries can get quite full on public holidays, then they run them continuously as soon as they fill up...
You can get an earlier ferry if you want to buy cheap vodka look around or spend some time at the beach

Start - Power Station Beach
20 min walk from Yung Shue Wan pier - follow chalk

3pm - A to A run with short and long option

Short run - 6km over 3 gentle hills - approx 1½hrs
Option to go through WW2 Japanese tunnel - easy and short, approx 20m long
Will be illuminated with glow sticks

Long run - 9km over 5 gentle hills
Should take fast runners approx 1½hrs
Will also go through the tunnels

Beach finish - beer and swimming

Family Day run fee - Boys $60, Girls $30, young peeps $10

6:30pm - Indian buffet in Spicy Island near the pier
$120 per head for food
Pay as you go for drinks - bottle beer $25, pint beer $45, wine $35

8:30pm - return ferry but you can leave any time if you want to skip the basho
Ferries go every half an hour until 8:30 and hourly therafter till 11:30pm

Towel / beach mat / mankini
Water - approx 1L
Mossie spray
iPhone for great photos and in case you get lost
Sense of humour
