LiT FB photos here?

Easy to find from the MTR exit and a good turn out at the start.

The briefing was not quite so brief! Starting at 6.53pm, hare Jonathan attempting to make it last till 7pm started to describe an extended list of markings that had been meticulously drawn on the floor under the title of “LSW 2190 TRUE”. Explanation of each LSW marking (together with other non LSW markings seen whilst setting the trail) ensued followed by extensive debate as to whether “T” meant end of trail or True???

The hares had set 2 wimps/rambos splits during the trail with the main difference described as “what you might have to face”??? Shiggy for sure, hanging on to a fence to avoid a long drop, electrical cables believed not to be live, avoiding the hole in the cemetery prepared for a burial (not of a hasher as far as I’m aware)! “How long is the trail” asked the pack??? No idea replied the hare.

Eventually the hare asked if there were any more questions to the exasperated responses of “God no!!” - so at 6.59pm the pack set off.

Taking the wimps option, I soon lost trail on the main road only to look back and see others had seemingly followed the trail easily off the road and up the first hill! Up, up and up a bit more I find myself running with Macau Drunk and Octopussy through the cemetery, who are trying to keep pace with Hopeless and LIT. Up steps, along (narrowly missing the large hole in the ground) and then down steps knowing full well you’ll be going back up them in a few hundred yards! By now, I’m starting to bemoan the endless steps out loud “good for thighs and butts” is Octo’s response - oh, the power of positive thinking!

We have just about kept Hopeless and LIT in sight when we reach the “fence with the long drop”. The question of whether a old rusty fence can withstand 5 hashers hanging on at the same time is only really asked…. when 5 hashers are hanging on at the same time!!!

This experience was followed by breathtaking views from the top of Devils Peak, definitely worth all the steps. Feeling the need to stop and take photos, I found myself back on my own and following the trail down the hill and on to the village.

So far the trail had been very well marked and I was thinking “home” is not far away - that is until I reached Lei Yu Mun. Where did the trail go???? Suddenly nothing, zilch - not an arrow in sight!! All through the village, I only knew that a left turn would lead to water and right turn didn’t seem possible! Out of the village and still no markings, I was helped by locals pointing the way they had seen the FRB’s go. Finally, along the promenade a solitary, lonely arrow pointed across the road - then nothing again! Ten minutes later and still looking I found an arrow at the top of the hill only to see home a few metres further on - so close and yet so far!!

Very enjoyable run with incredible views and plenty of adventure, well done!

Creme Brulee / Yours Truly Indy - arrived at A at 7pm to find... the pack had left!!!

Jonathon - 'Indy, since you are clearly late (at 7pm!!) suggest you do W run as pack has gone! Que?'..... btw was happy to follow J's advice!!!

Creme Brulee - easily ran up steps (which ones?) passing yours truly despite claiming aching legs after the race on the weekend!

Jonathon / BA - putting hashers on death-defying high wall to clamber along wire fence.... 'Use both hands ' written on wall!

Jonathon - forgot to give that briefing about the wall to yours truly... so struggled endlessly through rubbish tip and another wire fence to find trail.... not believing the trail was along that high wall!!
