First time to arrive at a HM run and he was NOT YET on the beer... !

Not realizing it was a 7.15pm start, the pack started to get agitated as raring to get going on possibly another memorable HM run? Once HM redecorated the playground with more instructions than an Ikea flatpack and finished his second tall boy, we were off out in search of the promised not just one virgin section but two with a very skeptical Hopeless leading the pack out the park.

Past Stanley Market to the first check with CUTR finding the OnOn but just 'forgetting' to the call the rest of us on but we managed to catchup due to the first check back. The trail took us up the 'private road' and most of the pack presumed this was the 'virgin trail' but the virgin trail took us down left, down ladders where the hare had kindly informed us in chalk 'First Virgin section'. So well done the hare, looks like no one has actually done this section before !

Back out onto the main drag to Stanley, then right into a long muddy section that stank of Boar sh!t, up to the check which took us left along more boar sh1t trail (I think this is where OD lost her earing) and out onto the main road. Over and up 300 steps (not that I was counting!) to the catchwater then left for a good, long flat run. Myself & Octo followed the trail down the steps only to discover a checkback at the bottom. Assuming the FRB's ignored the T and headed down the main road where they knew the trail would be. However Octo and I played by the rules and trundled back up the steps where Hopeless & Pig Fokker had marked it off where the trail carried on to the next down hill to Virgin trail No 2... well for most of us, not Hopeless who claims he has ran this section before!!

Onto the main road as Mr Cheesy literally does come flying past us just at the split. I have to be honest, I was torn on the R or W as Hopeless early informed me that the R was crazy downhill shiggy but my two fellow runners opted for R so I took one for the team and opted on R too. Up a long, steep road then right into very steep downhill, slippery shiggy just as the rain started, great ! It made the trail even slippery. So bush whacking down & up & down & up, left at the check through more shiggy and then I heard a very loud 'FFS. Stupid f''kin f''k, arrrrggg' as Hopeless whacks and splits his head on an overhanging tree. Then to round it off, we have more muddy boar sh1t trail where Hopeless goes ar$e over t1t into the mud, ruining his new 900 run shirt !!! ??

Out onto the main road.. eventually.. but the rain was heavy now washing the trail away but fortunately we knew our way back so it was a run through the park back to A where surprising the hare was still compos mentis !

Good trail and well marked until the rain started - well done and thanks to HM.

Then onto Stanley water front for beer and pizza !
