Sheung Wan Hare – Gobi Lo Gobi Lo FB pics here It was with some trepidation that we gathered at the Sheung Wan Sports Centre. The last run Gobi Lo had set from here was an interesting one .. up over High West and way more than 2h for me .. and today, it would be more interesting, it had been raining all afternoon! A rather bedraggled Gobi (she had been re-setting trail) came back from buying the beer and after the short briefing “I’ve used shredded real estate contracts to mark the trail, I hope it’s set” we were off across the road, up the stairs and immediately lost. Hopeless veered right around the road, the rest of us went on up looking for any sign of paper or chalk. After about 5 minutes of wandering around, Screwtop said “that might be paper”, “on on” was called and we were off, up some stairs, across Bonham Road and on up Robinson Road where the hill spread us out as bit. Up to the triangle, missing its normal check and a little confusion as the pack reformed. Octopussy decided to run through a T onto trail and back to A. Not sure why, but it was a useful excuse as to why she couldn’t do the write-up later on :) The rest of us continued on up Kotewali Road until a check bought us together again. After what could be technically described as “a lot of faffing around”, Pole Dancer called “on-on” up the stairs onto Hatton Road and onwards onto the Xylophone (Pik Shan) Trail. Entering the trail down the long flight of stairs we were surprised to see Pole Dancer running towards us. “You’re running trail the wrong way” he says. Mmm .. long confusing conversation about picnic areas and checks ensures. Pole Dancer continues up while the rest continue down the stairs towards the picnic area. I was starting to get worried, not that Pole Dancer would be lost, but that he might be right and I’d have to reclimb all these stairs. Fortunately, he soon re-passes me and I catch up with Freewheeler and we lose the main pack. As warned by the hare, the path had flooded and we caught up with SST and Toilet Spray picking their way around the water. The path divides and we all take the wrong way (ok, I was leading ..), we regain trail and are soon walking through buildings. “What a wonderful old Victorian House”, I comment to Freewheeler. “It’s the University!”, he replies and leads me through a series of buildings and stairs using his super powers to spot shredded paper at 100 paces. Back out onto Bonham road and then as we start to cut down through the side alleys and stairs we are caught up by Indy who helpfully uses her local knowledge to improve (shortcut) the trail. A special call out to the hare for setting a fun run in challenging conditions ! Down downs by Indy The Hare - Gobi Lo...... Well done on choosing a date when the heavens opened all day!! It was phishing down!! Gobi Lo - How many attempts to set the run.....?? 3 Gobi Lo - Last time was at 5 ish and back just in time for run start......!! Hopeless (attempt to find lookalike!) - for being 'bag lady' ... Hopeless' lookalikes - NOT!! None of male hashers had a 'head of dark hair'....... Pole Dancer (not since Screwtop had known him), Malcolm (started going grey at 18), Gary Glitter... (once blonde ish?), Freewheel, Retarded Buttf*ck..... etc Comes Up the Rear - the closest Hopeless 'lookalike'! Burning Lust (in absentia as left before DDs) - offering shredded paper... Gobi Lo- setting run on real estate contracts rather than BL's insurance documents.... Sticky Sex Toy - getting into trouble previously (from a minor hash??) for setting run with Hannah Montana on shredded paper in Aberdeen Country Park area.... Pole Dancer / CUTR - going down many steep steps to a check.... then turning around, checking and going back up those same steps had come down from... CUTR - had the chalk that remarked the trail back up the steps..... before crossing that out and going back down!!! Octopussy - being sucked into shortcutting half the trail by Burning Lust Octo - going up road towards Po Shan Path.... but finding trail at University they ran home.... 40 mins! 'Hmmm...that was a bit short, wasn't it?' Gobi Lo / Toilet Spray / Retaded Buttf*ck / SST / Octo / Yours Truly Indy - have all set runs around that area...... Gobi Lo - multiple....'On Homes' Gary Glitter - looking red-faced way after run finished!.... Been to Vietnam, sitting around pool!! Malcolm In The Middle - turning up on time (plus yours truly!) Gobi Lo- offering Free Kirin beers to any hasher over 900 runs!!.... Bubbleduck 901!!! Hopeless (loolalike CUTR) - getting closer - 898 runs!!.....so no free Kirin... Returnee - Creme Brulee as she rushes off to Lamma Ferry Returnee from Trumpland? - Toilet Spray!! Welcome back!! TS - Did you get kicked out from Trumpland?? How goes the 'finance' visa?? Returnee from Ozzie - Retarded Buttf*ck !! Welcome Back to HK Retarded B - non runner!!! RB - claims injury.....Says HK is not a 'wheelchair - disability - sensitive city!!' So who can do next week's run report????? To Be Decided by rock / scissors / paper between Malcolm In The Middle and Octo Malcolm ITM to Octo - claims after one attempt that Octo has won the honour...... but 2 more to go!! MITH - Yeh!!
