Write-up - O'Bollocks

Myself and Crackpot arrived in the usual park in Choi Hung to find Oh Sh!t curled up asleep on a park bench. The trail, the sun and some quality control on the bucket beers had done him in.

Virgin Hare Gill gave the briefing: open-head arrows, LSW for ONON, all checks closed ("Ooh, luxury", quoth Rooted) and circle-cross for falsy (choke of horror from Hopeless). 7.5km for the Wimps and 8km with some shiggy for the Rambos.

Off we set up the road, left and then right up towards the cemetery. A couple of checks kept the pack together and then we were going up and up the shiggy steps towards the Wilson Trail.

At the top the Wimp's trail went invitingly left but I decided to check out the Rambos going right. Up and into some interesting forest shiggy I gave a good example of why my hash name is apt. Upon getting tangled in a vine and falling flat on my ass, I cursed the vine, gravity and the hares in terms that would make a longshoreman blush. The Rambo's popped out back at the split, a clever little lollipop route, 500 metres long.

Down the Wilson trail we went with some magnificent views of Kowloon to our left. The trail turned left down steps at Lion's pavilion (a turning that a hare that shall remain nameless missed after setting the Rambos).

Down again into the concrete jungle for an urban run back to A. 7.8 km for the Rambos 430 metres of elevation, exactly as advertised with some fantastic views which made the run. Excellent work from Oh Sh!t and Virgin Hare Gill.

· Thoughts on run – it was too flat, it was not confusing enough in the shiggy …

· Virgin hares on this hash, so well done

· Rather than losing people on the hash, they lost a large number of hashers on way to the bash!

· Gill for missing the huge arrows pointing down the steps while setting run

· Needing arrows to be re-drawn / added to (Hopeless’ increasingly large and angry arrows mentioned)

· Borrowing buckets for beer – very resourceful but did taint the cans with film of grease as buckets used for dirty plates!

Briefing stated clearly there were only open arrows, but on Rambo saw closed head arrows (turns out they were drawn by Cum In My Tunnel)

Lack of Cantonese-speaking people to order food but Oh Sh*t and Rooted do a reasonable job despite some interesting confusion (ordered eggplant and got … spare ribs?!!)

To Crackpot for jumping at the rat; and to the hares for bringing us to such a salubrious place with wild rats!
