Hares - Teeny Weeny, Nic Bornman

Going to this LSW I was pretty worried, I knew it was going to be a toughie. A double whammy of two Nics and a returning Rizwan Bordello Butt could only spell trouble. Hard running and hard drinking was on the agenda tonight for sure.

At the Cricket Club entrance Teeny Weeny arrives after re-setting trail due to a mid afternoon downpour which had blitzed the previous nights work, his co-hare Nic2 was still out re-laying the rambos section. The briefing was given and a 9.5k Rambos was promised with a stern warning that 9.5k meant 9.5k, No Fumio distances on this hash. This was followed by a Shiggy alert from the hare “if you don’t like the first section then you ain’t going to like the second!” So off we went with Hopeless leading the way, which was quite remarkable since he had described himself & I as middle of the pack material these days. Actually I’ve never known him to be so generous, I actually dream of middle of the pack these days since it seems I am in the DFL competition!

On On takes us on up The Hong Kong trail on Black’s link with a little venture up and over the Mount Nicholson shiggy trail for the first Rambos split. Being well placed for DFL I had no idea who was up front, but Bordello Butt was certainly moving a lot better with the borrowed headlamp than he would have been with the cellphone torch he was going to use! The join up with the wimps was brief, about 20m in fact as the next Rambos trail had us up and over Mount Cameron, a brutal trail on a reasonable day, pure hell in Hong Kong’s summer humidity and the slippiness from the afternoon rain. The hare was certainly right, this shiggy was horrible and distinctly lacking of any markings. Macau Drunk, Octopussy & Bordello BF all return complaining of being off trail but a pointless search up and down found no suitable alternatives and we proceeded on down to eventually find the Hong Kong trail and wimps section.

On returning to Black’s Link, just one thought came over me – “there is no way these hares are going to simply run us back down Black’s Link!” True enough, trail pointed left down a steep set of steps to the Mt Nicholson govt flats and the likely shiggy trail along to Wong Nai Chung Gap and the petrol station. For some reason I could not make that left turn, faulty torch, faulty legs or just plain old common sense saw me blatantly mumble fork that and jog on down to the cricket club. Turned out I wasn’t the only one to do that, another middle of the pack runner had done something similar!

Anyway, a very good trail in tough conditions, perhaps some of the wambos should be thinking about being wimps these days especially since the return of Bordello Butt guaranteed a hard nights drinking. The fact that the boring table could only drink half of what Bordello’s table drank kind of says it all. Our good bad influence was back and had encouraged several lapsed LSW members out for a trip down memory lane. Grateful to be living on an Island nowadays I was able to make a sharp exit, I have no idea how long the super Rambos drinking spree with the usual suspects lasted for, but it’s been a long time since a regular LSW night had so many attendees at the on on on and a dodgy head the next day!

TW / Nic - volunteering to set the run with no arm twisting or begging from Hare-raiser!! Thanks guys!!

Nic - LSW virgin hare! Thanks mate!!

TW - warning hashers in dramatic terms that 1st R was shiggy, so if too shiggy/outside your comfort zone etc don't do Super Rambo...... (Ahhh!!... the R was a walk in the park!!!)

TW - should have warned us about the steps to get up to that shiggy on Mt Nicholson instead....

The Bastard - Great to see him back again! and such a gentleman!!.... calling out 'Trail turns Left' many times to yours truly Indy....

The Bastard - in the old days would only call "trail' like a Stealth Bomber...

Macau Drunk - another Stealth Bomber...

Dr Evil - torch blowout... from the beginning of the run... or was it no torch??

Indy - self DD...... being such a twat to miss the markings to Blacks Link and shiggy trail back to Cricket Club.. and instead running down Stubbs Rd and up past tennis courts to home.....

Hopeless - The Dummy Spit returneth!!!... (of course Lost In Translation not there at that point.. off having shower!!)

Hopeless - using so many F*******'s to poor Teeny Weeny about the shiggy trail to home...., that he did not do btw preferring Black's Link.....? or was it because not enough markings on SR....? or was it both?

Lost In Translation - rare to hear a dummy spit from Hopeless these days..... a calming influence!

Hopeless - giving Teeny Weeny a lecture on trailmarking /CB's etc....

Mea Gulpa - also needs a lecture from her infamous run marking a month ago.......

TW - then also complaining about Mea's markings... and trail from her checks!!!

MG - heated discussion over dinner table as she defends her markings and critisizes TW!!

MG / TW - 2 peas in a pod!

Comes In My Tunnel - first real Rambo who returneth!!

Lubricated Trojan - About 16 months pregnant and doing all Wimps trail including the wet shiggy section to Cricket Club!!.... "Don't tell CIMT' she had said to moi!!.... As if I wouldn't !!

Flagpole - Gary Glitter MOST adamant that Hopeless had never carried that name..... 'No..he will always be Hopeless to me!!'

Hopeless / LIT - Hopeless's 'bachelor-pad -country- estate' will no longer be a bachelor pad!! So when is the moving in party??

And then for many, it was ON ON ON ON to the QV with Rizwan till the wee hours of the morning!!... Just like the good old days...... Shame you could not be there Big Bitch and Hash Cash!!
