It was the 'What A Load of Bollocks' Run! hared by Lost in Planet and Octopussy! It has become such a popular event on the LSW hashing hare line that numbers are increasing annually... and as for WALOB 4.....? The first 'event', run 1817, was on 16 Nov 2011, with 15 hash souls in attendance....At that time Lost In Planet billed it as the 'Era of Good Feelings Run' ( a hash that will leave you feeling elevated before being let down! ) which he set with The 'Blessed' Virgin Mary.... not Octo then, altho she has been heard to say... 'LIP and I always set runs together... '! However she was in attendance.... Big Bitch and Hash Cash were around for the event!...or maybe they flew in especially for Lost In Planet's run! But nevertheless I recall that the anticipated Good Feelings had dissipated a tad by the end of the run......... so it was at the bash that Big Bitch...in her quiet demure voice called out! 'What A Load of Bollocks!!' And that was how that run name found its origins...! For the LSW newbies, or those with memory lapse... (but then you won't know that either!!).. I shall branch down Hash History and quote some of the finer lines written by the BB herself in her hash trash after the inaugural 'Good Feelings' run...... Not being a hasher to crawl around and skulk in corners when a challenge is thrown to him, Lost In Planet rose to the occasion in the only way he knew! He dumped that co-hare The "Blessed" Virgin Mary...and 'employed' the Prison Breaker instead...... from one extreme to another! He sent a note to all saying 'Please join me for the WALOB 2 run!! If you missed last year's please join me this year so you too can call out What A Load of Bollocks!' And if not enough to grab LSW attention, he added 'Sadly we will not have women appearing to give other women blow jobs!!??? WALOB!!?? Well.... it worked!! Wanting to experience first hand the mud slinging and the possible public sexual forays, 20 fearless hashers turned up again at Tseng Lan Shue on 24 Oct 2012 (run 1868) saying~ "Bring it on!! WALOB 2"... It initially incorporated the village, the rocks, the streams..... then the Royal Hong Kong prison at Pik Uk!....... little did I realise at that time that Octo spent a lot of time there.... working she says!!.... and then the 'unusual' shaggy shiggy that ended up at Po Lam! Great run... really!!... but again not without complaints! Actually that became known also as the 'Porcupine Run'.. the scribe for WALOB 2 Telecum noted that "Every LSW hasher had become part of the largest germination programme in HK and now resembled a person who had just gone 3 rounds with a porcupine and extracted every spike from the little critters! WALOB!!" 'Surprisingly', Hopeless had a melt down afterwards as he publicly proclaimed how he had to throw away his $1000 hashing outfit as it was so full of little pricks......... WALLOB 2 was close to being renamed..but no!! WALOB stayed! Now the WALOB 3 Run attracted 26 hashers...... 2 notables were from Sth Africa... one hash virgin who introduced himself to me saying he was at the WALOB run to 'pop his cherry'! Lucky LIP and Octo!!.... Also joining was a British Muscovite...... (as Macau D affectionately labels her)! I think her cherry had already been popped, but still she was there to have it popped again..... The hares pronounced this WALOB 3 run was going to be tough...... The Super Wimps... the Wimps and the Rough Shiggy Rambos....... but don't do the latter unless you have insurance!! Noteably absent were Big Bitch and Hash Cash... I do think that as they named the run, they could put it in their hashing calendar!! And the third timer WALOB hashers were Hopeless/Indy and Toilet Room...... but her brain cells were not working to remember that last wed having just been away on a shagathon in Africa with Chatspray... well that is when they weren't climbing Kilimanjaro....... So... the WALOB 3 run! From Tseng Lan Shue it was through the old village off onto the Wilson trail, heading down through rocks and streams, and down down on uneven paths... At one stage Bubbleduck ran through, altho why he was so late I had no idea....... I saw him at the start and then? CUTR was closely following but did not think that would last for long..... After that another torch! It was believe it or not... Macau Drunk, who unlike the previous WALOB runs had actually got onto a minibus this time after 17 minutes waiting time.... for WALOB 1 and 2 he never quite got past the minibus queue ...... I was looking forward to see Her Majesty's prison again.... from the outside!!!.... but there was no repetition of that... then across Clearwater Bay Rd, just north of Anderson Rd near the quarry. It was through villages and a run on a catchwater path..... up and down road to the Rambos/Wimps split at Siu To Yuen Village...... Markings said.. Wimps 2.1 Km and Rambos 5.1 km!...... later discovered this was courtesy of W@nchai W@nker..... pulling those figures out of his @@@@! So it was that TV Tits and i decided to do the R's trail, me swearing to TV that of course this would not be THE shiggy trail..... WALOB! Not far into it past the graveyard and then it was Tarzan territory!! Vines/rocks/double rocks.... crevasses at one stage!! TV tits and I were doing acrobatics to cross some rock sections.... then trail up and more shaggy! At this stage I had a torch blowout (Note: not blow job!)... so sadly had to venture back to the Wimps trail.. WALOB! The tarzan shiggy on the R trail ended near Au Tau on the Wilson Trail Stage 3... Then downhill through Ma Yau Tong village to hit the town lights on Lin Tak Rd and Pik Wan Rd and a decent run to B at Kam Tin..... The Wimps trail was indeed longer than the conjecture by WW...... but a very pleasant undulating run in village terrain which eventually joined up with the Rambo trail somewhere near civilization........ The maps And the general cry was WALOB!!!! DOWN DOWN's by Indy Lost In Planet and Octo - The 3rd 'What A Load Of Bollocks' run....... err.... what a load of bollocks!! The hares.....Great run! WALOB!! How many reccies to get the WALOB run to WALOB standard.... many! 1st Run 1817- attendees (15 then).......... Billed as the 'Era Of Good Feelings Run'! Changed to the 'What A Load of Bollocks' Run!!!! 2nd WALOB 1868 run attendees- (20 then) ....from same start ending at Po Lam. 3rd WALOB Run - 26 attendees!... from same start but sadly no prison!! Those in attendance at all 3 runs! - Hopeless/Indy... er later discovered that Toilet Room had also been on all 3.... LSW Virgin WALOB Runners - Macau Drunk and even then debating whether to turn up.... W@nchai W@nker - on minibus told all that he had the directions to start.... the GPS set.... the Phone set....!! and then would have missed the A stop if Gobi Lo had not taken control! The hares.... setting Wimp wimps....... no runners! Bubbleduck - arrived late and then 20 mins to get moving... stretching? CUTR/Octo - Good to see he runs on Octo's run when Octo did not run on his! Macau Drunk - last horse out of the stable.... with slight hobble to add!... 'Had to wait 17 mins for a minibus!!' WW - at split wrote in chalk Wimps 2.1 Km, Rambos 5.1Km...?? pulled these figures out of his... TV Tits - at Rambos split she wanted to do Wimps worrying that the shiggy would be too shiggy! Right on! ... Bubbleduck - wondering why yours truly took so long! Thought must have had trouble getting short legs over the huge rock crevasses.... The hares - Where was the misspelt sign like last years on the run ...WALLOB!? Hopeless - putting Southside markings on the trail..... Chatspray/Toilet Room - Just back from Shagathon on African Prairie..... Chatspray - Facebook comment ..he was happy to get back to his HK pussy?? Virgins - The Sth African runner who came to 'pop his cherry' on LSW hash....... The Brit/Muscovite who came to repop her cherry from the WH3 All those who have yet to 'pop their cherry'? Bubble Duck can't remember? Bubble duck - Is alzheimers setting in...or denial? Macau Drunk DD - to Bubble duck! Bubble D did not believe that Octo had anything to do with the run!! Must have all been set by LIP?? WALOB!! Anniversary - A big one!!! Bubble duck!! 800 runs! Most runs in LSW! Overtaken Hash Cash who held the record for years! now 778 The Hares!! WALOB.... ON ON to WALOB 4........ Second map shows WALOB I (green) + II (yellow) + III (red). Note that all three trails follow pretty much the same route out of the village and then proceed to split. Cunning!
